Care tags swing customers back!

People have short memories so you want to create as many touch points with your customers as possible. Registering a customer for your newsletter is great as they will hear from you ‘from time to time’. But nothing beats a physical item they have in their hands to remind them of your business.

A great way to achieve this is to include a care tag in the form of a small flyer with every item you send out the door. They are effective and cheap at about $500 for 10,000 full-color front and back printing.

Your flyer should serve two purposes:

  1. Promote your business
  2. Promote the care of the product they purchases.

Dedicate one side to promoting your business. Clearly include your logo, phone number and website address plus reasons why they should use you. You can even add an incentive to come back in the form a discount coupon code.

Then dedicate the other side to important care instructions for your product such as do not tumble dry, do not use bleach, etc.

The care instructions will give the consumer a reason to read the flyer and hopefully keep hold of it.

On your company promotion side include a small corner tag that says “Turn over!” just case they don’t see the reverse side containing your important care instruction.

The inclusion of the care instructions will also improve you customers satisfaction as they will know how to correct wash and care for the product to ensure the longevity of the print.

Send it out with EVERY item

I recommend you include a care tag with every item you send. And by every item I mean every t-shirt your print even when the order is for multiple t-shirts. If, for example, the t-shirts are for a sports team then each of those 15 t-shirts will go to a different person and each person will receive and read your care tag. Your value of that order has just increased exponentially as now an additional 15 people know about your business.
